SAAB TURBO — LARGE ENGINE OUTPUT IN A SMALL PACKAGE

ORANGE, CONNECTICUT — The Saab Turbo, available at Saab dealers throughout the United States in early February, has been designated to offer the performance of a much larger engine, without the penalties inherent in a large powerplant. Previously, most turbo charged engines have been designed for top-speed racing cars. The Saab Turbo however, has been engineered to give six-cylinder performance for everyday drivign in a four cylinder unit .. and without the considerably increased fuel consumption of the larger engine. The turbo charger utilizes the energy of the engine’s exhaust gases to force more air into the engine, for optimum performance when needed.
