Saab – “Born From Jets” Tour
Barnes Air National Guard Base
June 24th-25th, 2006

Here is footage from my second visit on the Saab Born From Jets tour. The Andrews Air Force Base event was the first stop on the tour I attended.

The journey to Western Massachusetts was filled with torrential rain and threatening skies. Thankfully the rain stopped when the Saab Performance Team started their show. I was fortunate to have a navigator and an expert Saab technician with me during the trip, this made the trip much better than had I been alone.

There was an overwhelming Saab presence at this venue, starting with the mobile hangar, followed by the Saab Performance Team on the runway along with their Pit crew tent along with a few Saab dealers scattered throughout area. Being able to meet the individual who was the brains behind the mobile aircraft hangar idea combined with the opportunity to meet, get photos with and speak Swedish with the Saab Performance Team was hard to put into words. So despite the rain, a good time was had by all.
