In 1986, Saab collaborated with Skip Barber by creating the “The Barber Saab Pro Series”. This series was a spec series, in which all cars were identically prepared by Skip Barber Racing which used Saab engines. This collaboration ended in 1991 at the time of former President of Saab-Scania, Bob Sinclair’s retirement.

Please enjoy the footage I managed to obtain personally from Bob Sinclair, the former president of Saab-Scania of America over the summer of 2005. Thank you Uncle Bob!

Did you know that Saab has a Skip Barber racing car somewhere still?

Where is this Race car? Last I remember, there was one in the old training center in Wallingford, Connecticut back when it was open.

SaabRacer or HaloSaab;

You might want to talk to an individual by the name of John Moss, who in my opinion is a reknowned expert on all things Saab, he probably knows where this is located.

Where are both of you writing from? You may want to go to Swedish Car Day in Brookline, Massachusetts if that is close to you to ask the folks attending that event because this race car was there back in I think 2000 or 2001.
