IIHS 9-5 Crash Test Footage – 2002

In a previous post, I mentioned that the IIHS has recently supplied Saab History with some original films of their high speed crash test footage from their testing facility in Northern, Virginia. At this time and with their permission, I have been able to put together the VHS videocasettes and make them available online.

I think that you will be extremely interested in the footage and in some cases, positively amazed by the safety advances Saab has made by watching how the vehicles have become better and better in terms of overall safety in front, side and rear crash tests.

The video that you are about to see below consists of the following three segments.

* 2002 Saab 9-5 sedan offset high speed crash test
* 2002 Saab 9-5 Sedan compared to 1995 Saab 900 (split screen crash tests).
* 2002 Saab 9-5 Sedan “behind the scenes” crash test at IIHS crash test facility.
