SAAB 96 Rally Footage – RAC, Safari, Monte-Carlo

As a follow-up to the press release yesterday on the SAAB 96 RAC Rally Car in Saab Automobile USA’s Heritage Collection, I am providing you some recent footage brought to you by Dan Prescott, former Saab USA employee and current publisher of www.RVmotoring.com
I have provided the first video in a series of films that he provided that depicts rally footage the SAAB 96 with Erik Carlsson at the RAC Rally, Safari Rally and Monte-Carlo as well as some small clips of Stig Blomqvist as well. [...] I have just received another film from the former New England Saab Association secretary, this time a bit longer than the previous film . This film, complete with narration and produced by SAAB SWEDEN in 1964, features Erik Carlsson in the entire Monte-Carlo Rally, footage of the SAAB ANA testing and competition facility as well as brief clips of the Safari, Tulip, Polish and RAC Rallies. Erik Carlsson as well as his co-pilot, Gunnar Palm, were both present at the 2007 60th Anniversary Saab Festival dinner that took place in Trollhättan, Sweden last summer. Thank you very much for taking the time to assemble and post this material. I enjoyed very much! It is inspiring as I contemplate preparation of a 96 for vintage rally and ice racing events.
