Kinnekule Racetrack – Kinnekule, Sweden

On Saturday, June 9th, 2007 from 8:00am until 4:00pm, Saab Enthusiasts in attendance at the Saab Festival in Trollhättan traveled just over an hour North to Kinnekule racetrack to watch other Enthusiasts cars as well as vintage cars from the Saab Museum go out for a spin on the racetrack.

There were a number of waves of vehicles that got a chance to race around the track which were designated by engine & model type. The heats began at 11am and had a duration of about 10 to 15 minutes.

The weather was spectacular with bright blue skies, and the weather was just over 30 degrees celcius, a record in Sweden. The various Saab models from vintage to modern, every model was represented including some rare and rather unique representations. All in all it was a great time had by all and a great end to the day before returning to Trollhättan for the 60th Anniversary dinner.

This is the footage that I managed to put together that should provide a clear idea of what kind of Saabs were racing around the track at Kinnekule, enjoy.
