Saab Urges Progress of Bioethanol Infrastructure

According to a recent article on askaprice.com, Saab Automobile is urging the progress of a bioethanol infrastructure.

It is clear that for Saab Automobile’s BioPower program to work in other countries like it does in Sweden, the infrastructure needs to be easily available. Here is one of the first reports regarding not only their technology, but their push for intrastructure development as well.

Saab urges progress of bioethanol infrastructure

Saab is calling on the government to invest in biofuel infrastructures, pointing to success in Sweden as proof that biofuel vehicles can thrive in the correct conditions.

Saab is pursuing the development of E85 models and vehicles, making it the number one manufacturer of bioethanol cars in Europe.

“There is huge international interest in what is happening in Sweden regarding the technology and infrastructure for use of bioethanol,” says Jan Ake Jonsson, Managing Director of Saab Automobile.

“Countries such as Norway, Ireland and France are following Sweden’s example by investing in a bioethanol infrastructure. Everyday we receive requests for more information regarding our environmental efforts.”

Saab premiered its BioPower Hybrid Concept at the Stockholm Motor Show last year.
