25th Annual Saab Owners Convention – 21 Days Away

This just in from the Saab Owners Convention committee. There seem to be even more special surprises and hints than previously revealed including the mention today of a Saab 9-X Aero Replica? If you want more details, I highly suggest you register for the convention, get your lodging also booked and any other logistics planned to make it to this highly anticipated 25th Anniversary Saab Owners Convention.

Hi Everyone,

The 25th Annual SOC is now 21 Days away. Below is an excerpt from this year’s chaiman, Jim Laman.

* The One Day Track Event needs 15 more registered attendees!

A few highlights to wet your appetites:

* Saab USA President will be attending on Friday night and all day
Saturday. He WANTS to meet some of us too!

* Keynote speaker for the Saturday banquet will be GM CFO Fritz
Henderson, one of the guys who engineered the purchase of Saab back in
2000 when he was with GM Europe. Should be an interesting evening!

On top of that, its at the GM Heritage Center, which some of you have seen, but many have not. Not to be missed.. words cannot describe how cool this place is.

* Several Saab vendors will be attending, included the ever-popular “Saab
Parts Tent”, which is now being readied at a secret Saab parts warehouse.
Suffice to say, prices will be “great!”.

* Think your Saab has guts? For $75/30 min you can get it on the
dynamometer and see how it stacks up against others! Register in advance
or, if there is room, the “day of”.

*Have a garage full of Saabs? Enter the Individual or Business categories of the Best Saab Fleet Contest sponsored by the Rocky Mountain Saab Club.

* We are very pleased to have the Saab “Born From Jets” tour joining
us… a huge 80-foot long display, complete with sound system, multimedia
interactive displays, and the chance to win a 9-3 convertible.

* Other Saab items of interest from SCUSA will include the 9-X Aero
replica (the real one being in Sweden), a few interesting 9-7s (I won’t
tell..), several Saab Heritage cars, and of course cars from Saab
Accessories to show off the plethora of options you can add to your
vehicle.

* Want to try a different Saab than your own? Dealer Saab of Troy will be
offering new car test drives, and we will also be hosting “vintage rides”
in older Saabs for those of you who have never experienced cars like a
99, 96, Sonett or a two-stroke!
