Saab & The Aspen Police Department – 2001

On July 19th, I wrote about the Vail Police Department’s collaboration with Saab for a number of years. After posting this, one viewer made a very astute observation by stating that it was in fact the Aspen Police Department in Aspen, Colorado where this collaboration was more ubiquitous with Saab as their vehicle of choice. In responding to this e-mail I received, I contacted the Aspen Police Department in order to inquire about any materials that include both press releases and or photographs as far back as the seventies when this relationship apparently started.

I did get a response from the Aspen Police Department which was extremely kind that included a donation of a number of trading cards they recently made that included a 2001 Saab 9-5 seden that I have pictured above. If you know of any other photographs that showcase any of the Saab models used by the Aspen Police Department over the years, please submit them here and I will include them in this thread.

I understand that this relationship with the Aspen Police Department much like the one in Vail, lasted about the same amount of time also starting at some point in the seventies which concluded in 2005 from what I have understood.
