Saab History Receives Large Donation for Archive

This past weekend, Saab History received a rather large donation from a former Saab-Scania of America, Inc. employee who worked from the 1970′s until the early 1990′s. This donation has been an incredible gift of information that I will work hard at preserving and making available for you to enjoy in the coming months.

In the four boxes that arrived, I have been able to provide you a list of what the collection consists of at first glance. This material includes Saab-Scania and Saab-Scania of America, Inc. materials as the photograph above is just a few bits and pieces arranged and photographed for your enjoyment.

The Collection at first glance:

20 VHS Tapes ranging from the early 1980′s to the early 1990′s
50 Original Press Releases with accompanied photos ranging from the mid 1970′s to the early 1980′s
70 Original Slides from the early 1980′s
80 Original Print Advertisements ranging from the early 1980′s to the mid 1980′s
100+ Dealership Brochures from the mid-1970′s to the mid 1980′s
Plus many miscellaneous materials from swatch samples of leather seats, rare photographs, and thousands of original newspaper clippings all put together in a publication from Saab called “The Printed Word” which is just a treasure box of historical Saab information.

Please Note: This Individual who made these donations to Saab History, will also be present at the Saab Owners Convention, thanks to Saab History, and plans on setting up at the vendor area to unload a number of vintage Saab items, some of which have yet to be seen in circulation for a number of years ranging from Saab parts to accessories as well as other rare and unique Saab memorabilia. Keep your Eyes open!
