The Saab 9-4x, depicted above as (intentionally “fuzzy” per Saab) that was photographed at the 2006 Saab Owners Convention, will be debuted at the 2008 North American International Auto Show from January 19th through the 27th, 2008.

According to Left-Lane News as well as Automotive news, this “crossover” vehicle also referred to as a CUV, will based on a premium version of the GM Theta crossover platform that utilizes portions of the Epsilon II platform. Engine options will include the 3.6L HF V6 as well as a diesel powertrain. This model will also include the new “XWD” Cross-Wheel Drive. It was also indicated by CFO of GM, Frederick “Fritz” Henderson at the GM Heritage Center Banquet during the recent 2007 Saab Owners Convention that the Saab 9-4x will be a real Saab being compact, fuel efficient complete with cross-wheel drive.

It will be exciting to see this unveiling in Detroit at the NAIAS in January.
