I have recently just stumbled upon the second private Saab Museum accessible to the public in addition to the Saab Museum in Denmark. Keep in mind the two official Saab Museum’s are both the Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan, the home of the Saab Automobile, as well as the Saab Museum in Uusikaupunki, Finland

This particular Saab Museum is located in Woerden, Netherlands and is called the Saab Museum “The Old Bullnose”

If you are in the Netherlands, or surrounding area, I would suggest checking out this museum and reporting back here at Saab History with a writeup and photographs.

Please read a brief history writeup from the Saab Museum in the Netherlands thanks to a good translation from MH at the SAAB 96 Club in the Netherlands!

Founding of Saabmuseum “d’oude Bolneus” (“The Old Bullnose”).

The successes of Eric Karlson with two stroke cars in the 1963 Monte Carlo Rally and the ring-a-ding sound of a beautiful black two stroke car running in (the town of) Woerden at that time, made Leo Borsboom fall in love with the Saab brand.

Leo, who started his own garage in 1968, became dealer for the Woerden area in 1973. In that time he also started collecting old Saab two strokers, starting the base for the current Saabmuseum.

Meanwhile, a group of enthusiastic Saab lovers have started a club and do all sorts of jobs for the museum. This made it possible for now and the future, to make people enjoy these special Saabs.
