saab lineage Saab Automobile A Brand On The Move

Saab Enthusiasts alike, have enjoyed a wonderful run of the Saab lineage as it has developed over the years beginning with the SAAB 92001, that then continued with the production models including the 92, 93, 96, 99, 900, NG900, 9-3 & the present Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan. We have also seen variations from this lineage, offshoots and completely different production vehicles show up in parallel as well beginning with the SAAB 94 Sonett I, SAAB 95, SAAB 97 Sonett II, Sonett III, 600, 90, 9000 and 9-5, 9-2x, 9-7x.

Saab Automobile has been moving very quickly these days with their recent launches of concept cars that although, not part of this “lineage”, do embody the design language, technology, performance, practicality, and efficiency that we can all appreciate.

This much anticipated “growth period” these days as Saab Automobile representatives indicate it, involves a heavy focus on product, product and more product. This launch effectively started in 2005, and we’re finally starting to see it come into play with the breakthrough of Cross-Wheel Drive (XWD) this summer, the Turbo-X performance vehicle this fall, the Saab 9-4x BioPower Concept this past January, a Premium Concept Car that debuts on March 3rd in Geneva, and more to come later this year.

While many of us Saab owners and enthusiasts have been watching this progress, we are very excited about it, however, many of us would be even more interested if we could see these vehicles in the showrooms of Saab dealerships around the world at this time.

With such a heavy emphasis on product these days, when will we begin to see these actual products in production and available at the dealerships to sell?

    Hi Ryan ,

I like that evolution of Saab lineage very much . But I remark that the 9.7 hasn’t been added to that image otherwise we couldn’t have been able anymore to see the others cars hidden behind the 9.7 .
And what will happen with the 9-4 X ? lol

    Cheers

    Jeff

    Jeff,

The lineage above is true to form, as for other vehicles were not part of the actual lineage, although representative of other forms, etc.
