Saab History Witnesses 1st Saab USA ad on TV in 2 Years
Posted on 20. Jul, 2008 by Ryan in 2000-2009

I was sitting down for a moment this Sunday afternoon and was watching the 15th leg of the 2008 Tour de France when the coverage went into commercial break, and what did I see immediately? The latest version of the Saab Automobile USA television advertisement “recycle” on my television set!
It has been a full 2 years since I’ve seen a television advertisement from Saab Automobile USA, so seeing this today was startling. Now, to keep things in perspective, I have been previously living in Washington, D.C. so there may have been a variation of frequency in comparison to what New Englander’s have seen over the past 2 years.
Although I am now located in the New England market, I suspect this television ad may have been shown nationally.
So, with this in mind, when was the last time you have seen a Saab advertisement on broadcast television either in the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden or elsewhere?
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.3 Responses to “Saab History Witnesses 1st Saab USA ad on TV in 2 Years”

Robin,
Is this one of the first two 2008 TTid Television ads listed on the Saab History video archive here?

Hi Ryan, just had a look and I can say no. It is the one with the little girl shaking the tall tree and the swimmer diving in the swimming pool and swimming twice as fast as the others. There are two versions one being longer than the other.
