The Saab Performance Team Drive The Turbo-X

Saab History just received an e-mail from the folks who do digital video productions for GM announcing a video featuring the widely acclaimed Saab Performance Team driving none other than the high performance Saab 9-3 Turbo-X!

The Saab Performance Team are engineers that work in Sweden and they formed this performance team in 1987 for the 40th Anniversary celebrations that took place in Trollhättan, Sweden.

I first Saw the Saab Performance Team at the 2005 Saab Festival in Sweden, 2006 in Western, Massachusetts and again at last year’s 2007 60th Saab Festival in Sweden, I must say they are quite the show stoppers!

Having personally test driven the Saab 9-3 Turbo-X in both sedan and Sportcombi variants this past May in Boston, I can tell you that there is no Saab quite like these considering their unique performance and control.

After watching this film, I would be interested to see how the benefits would be with the 60th anniversary wheels that they used, opposed to the standard 18″ Turbo-X wheels that I test drove with Saab History’s co-author, Carl Levine.

It is great to see the Saab Performance Team showcasing the Turbo-X in a way only they can do, and do well!
