Saab History Marks Two-Year Anniversary

As I write this post, Saab History has just passed its two-year anniversary that began on August 15th, 2006 as I reported on the “Born From Jets” Saab Performance Drive Team event in Western, Massachusetts.

On August 15th, 2006, Saab History was launched as a website in order to communicate the Saab Automobile brand’s past, present and future global accomplishments through written, audio and visual content.

This website, an evolution of the Saab videos listing, seemed to be a necessary direction given the demand and thirst for more Saab knowledge, period.

As of today, in the two years of running Saab History, I have seen significant month after month spike in visitors to this website. This means, there is clearly a need that continues to be in high demand, and there’s no shortage of material coming down the pipe anytime soon, so before I start to list quantitative facts & figures, I should emphasize that the humble mission of Saab History is more of a qualitative one.

The material that I have been actively managing to put together as a full-time venture over the past year, has been widely acknowledged and globally appreciated, so much so that their are more sponsors contacting me for site sponsorship at this time than ever before, which I see as a direct benefit to the global Saab Community as a result.

This year as we mark the two-year anniversary of Saab History this month, I will be attending the 2008 Saab Owners Convention in Central, Massachusetts , to celebrate amongst many things, the theme of the convention, the 30 years Of Turbocharging for the Saab Automobile Brand.

As time marches on, so will Saab History, and therefore here’s to a continued dynamic effort in communicating Saab’s past, present and future!
