Saab Sighting Of The Week - “South Portland, Maine”

At the recent autocross where I got to see the legendary Monte-Carlo “Yellow Thunder” 1972 Saab Sonett III this past Sunday in South Portland, Maine, I also witnessed fellow Saab Enthusiast’s 1986 Saab 900 Notchback, also in “monte carlo yellow”. At that point, I obviously needed to classify this sighting as this week’s “Saab Sighting of the week”.
I have really seen quite a range of Saabs over the years now painted in monte carlo yellow beginning with the 1992 Saab 900 Convertible back in Washington, D.C.
If you have seen a Saab painted in monte carlo yellow besides the 1972 Saab Sonett III, 1986 Saab 900 Notchback and the 1992 Saab 900 Convertible, please contact me here at Saab History to let me know, but don’t forget a photo!

Nice picture. The yellow reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where they’re in the dealership.
Puddy is screwing me on this car, which is YELLOW now!

Peter,
Nice car, glad to read that you’ve seen it here!
Has that driving light mounting hardware arrived yet?
