Vanity Fair’s Brett Berk has recently reviewed the Saab 9-3 Turbo-X SportCombi and have given it some good results.

This review, reminded me of my experience while at site sponsor, Herb Chambers Saab of Boston who hosted the Turbo-X test drive event in Boston this past May.

At that event, I also test drove a Saab 9-3 Turbo-X Sportcombi, yes the same type spotted on the highway a few weeks ago by a Herb Chambers Saab customer.

This truly positive review by Brett, was no surprise after reading the opening line reminiscent of the “Saab Difference” film done in 1990.

“I’ve always liked Saabs. Their durability, efficiency, and eccentric styling appeals to an unrealized side of my essence. “

The review continued with the writer contacting any and all friends who had any Saabs, who also chimed in about why the liked their Saabs, and I found their one liners particularly spot on as well.

The last line said it all though, and I urge you to read the entire review when you get the chance, you’ll probably agree with most of it, at least I did.

“Hot-assed, hot-rodded, and fundamentally weird, this four-wheel drive wagon felt like the first real Saab I’ve seen in years, and filled a personally beloved vehicular segment: handsome, fast, and accommodating in the rear.”
