This week, en-route through the white mountains of Northern New Hampshire, I finally had the chance to see how that Saab emergency triangle would show up in a non-emergency during a pit-stop on the side of interstate 93.

Thanks to Saab USA Parts, your Saab could also be best equipped in case of an emergency breakdown wherever you are ensuring the safety through visibility by using this collapsible emergency triangle.

case Saab Sighting Of The Week Saab Emergency TriangleThe triangle itself comes in a nice durable plastic sleeve that the triangle comfortably slides into once collapled and easily can be tucked away in the trunk or spare tire well of your Saab for safe keeping.

In the past, Saab’s used to come standard with all of the necessary safety equipment, however over the years that has not become the case. It is good to see that these parts are still manufactured and available and again thanks to Saab Parts USA, we can purchase them and feel better about those worst case scenarios.

If you’d be interested in the entire checklist, please check my previous post titled the “winter driving suggestions checklist“.

    Hi

Just to say that the triangle should be placed 50 – 150 yards from the parked vehicle, depending on traffic speeds.

The photo suggests that this could be exiended in winter conditions.

Many european countries require the safety triangle to be carried in the car. Other safety items required in various european countries are :

    fluorescent jackets
    first aid kits
    fire extinguishers
    spare set of spectacles
    Spare lamp bulb kits
    Snow chains*
    Winter tyres*

    * Obviously not in summer !

    Peter,

Good call on that one! I already have the flourescent Saab safety vest, so I should get that in the car ASAP.

Spare lamp bulb kit, check, first aid kit, check.

No snow chains nor fire extinguisher nor flares on board yet..

    Thank you!
