This is the third review recently from another canadian journalist from Canadian Driver covering the 2009 Saab 9-3 Aero XWD.

While the depth of the review far outshot the previous reviews, including a nice selection of photos, there was once again nothing stated about the world-class leading XWD (cross-wheel drive) system at all.

I am starting to wonder if these journalists really know what the XWD system is all about because this car is quite capable and it’s a shame no one will ever really know what it is in reading these reviews, when journalists choose to overlook it.

Furthermore, I am really getting frustrated that these cars that the journalists are reviewing, continue to be delivered with all-season tires! This is a cross-wheel drive test drive right? What happened to true directional snow tires that are mandatory in Canada?

If we want to see a good review of a cross-wheel drive system, we need to have journalists educated as to what they are driving, secondly, they need to have the right tires, and lastly, they better be testing this vehicle in a tough climate with at least some ice or snow on the ground.

I do have to give the journalist credit this time around with his review on the car as a whole and the fact that he took the photos of the car while on some legitimate snow.
