I was doing some work lately in analyzing Saab History’s site traffic since it began and I have found that the reach has now covered approximately 99% of the entire world! If we look at the map above from Google Analytics, we can see the areas within each continent that are in green as having someone somewhere that has pulled up SaabHistory.com from a computer. What’s even better is that although this map reflects all visitors for all time, it is also about 90% accurate for today’s monthly average visitors. This means that the only countries that are not visiting this site regularly, that have in the past, are the folks in Iraq & Afghanistan, a few small villages in South East Asia and once again, Greenland! It’s obvious and understandable, Saab is probably not their most important priority in those areas right now I would gather.

Things begin to get really interesting when we really look at the details here, for instance, someone in Greenland has visited the site, as well as the entire Middle East has visited the site, including Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, perhaps the troops not the locals or both? The United States sticks out like the 400lb gorilla in the room with the darkest shade of green, because they account for approximately 41% of all visitors here.

The markets however, are no real surprise, given that we know the level of sales are, globally. In this case, the United States is first, followed by the United Kingdom, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Finland, Australia, Italy and France. The rest of the markets consist of less than 2% of Saab History’s viewers, which is also quite interesting. I bet if sales increase in those other markets, Saab History’s visitors would as well perhaps.

Anyways, I thought this would be some interesting information for you, one of the proud Saab enthusiasts that like me, enjoy learning about Saab Automobile’s, past, present and future!
