I recently received an e-mail from the folks in Stow, Massachusetts that have been eagerly awaiting the SAAB SK-37 VIGGEN Jet since this past fall.

Apparently, there have been some major issues with customs not allowing the aicraft even in parts, to come into the United States.

I hope that they can get that resolved by the summer perhaps, in the meantime, here is their note:

Hello Ryan,
The SK-37 has not arrived here in the country yet. We have had some major issues with customs allowing us to bring the static aircraft into the
country. At this time we do not have a date for when we will be allowed to bring the aircraft into the US. The aircraft is sitting disassembled in
Sweden waiting for clearance to put it onto a boat to come to the US. Collings Foundation

I also contacted The Collings Foundation, and I will be speak to my Congressman. Its is interesting, that there are still hold-ups at the Swedish end, when I added a word of thanks to the Swedish Ministers, during our “Save Saab” email campaign.

Not surprising that the numb nutz Federales will not let a “weapon of war” in so that the general public can be educated as to what other countries and companies have produced.

Hell, the Clinton administration passed a law banning the bring back of demilitarized WWII US Tanks, weapons, and armor because they could possibly be used in a crime.

When is the last time you saw a 65 year old Sherman used in a Bank Holdup.
