Saab History’s Photos Of Saab 9-3x Debut & 2009 NYIAS

Here are my photos taken of the Saab stand at the 9-3x Cross-Combi debut at the 2009 NYIAS on Thursday, April 9th, 2009.

As you can see, the Saab 9-3x was mounted on a rotating stand, with the Saab 9-3 Convertible to it’s left, a Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan to the right, and a Saab 9-3 Sport Combi and 9-7x Aero behind adjacent to the Saab information kiosk. The Saab 9-5 much like last year, was again not present.

    Huh, the Saab stand looks very much like an Apple store with the stainless (and the fact they they have iMacs set up).

    I wonder why they chose to use Microsoft optical mice instead of the standard Apple Mighty Mouse.

    Ryan, how does the 9-3x look in the flesh?

    Good question! The Saab 9-3x looks really nice, higher quality that we would have thought. It will make a great addition to the 9-3 product range that’s for sure!

    I was initially thinking that they would have had the white color in New York, but the Pepper Green really shows it as more of an off-road vehicle which is good.

    The NYIAS site shows the 9-X AIR concept vehicle as a debut in the show. Did Saab/GM pull that after the site was done?

    Hello. Good question.

    The 9-X Air came out in the fall, so it’s surprising that it would debut at the NY Auto Show.

    This must have been some technical error or perhaps even a schedule change?
