The Saab USA Heritage Collection Status Today

I have recently been in touch with the folks that manage Saab USA Heritage Collection inquiring about the status of the collection.

Today, I have heard back from them and have been very delighted to hear that although one vehicle had to go in January, all of the remaining vehicles are slated to not be auctioned nor sold.

In my dialogue with them, they have provided me a full list including VIN numbers for each and every vehicle along with any remaining photographs that I did not have, to ensure the Saab History digital archive of this collection is complete for us to enjoy here online.

For the record, I have calculated that there are exactly 26 full cars/trailers in the collection at this time in addition to two cross-sectioned cars, effectively bringing the collection to 28!

I have excluded the 1980 5-Door donor car which will be going to to another 1980 5-door, and the 1995 Saab NG900 Pikes Peak car sold at auction in January.

Below is the entire list linked to each vehicle including VIN number. You will see some vehicles that are listed have no descriptions nor information. Some of you may actually know who donated these vehicles and have more of a back story on them, so please submit any information you can to ensure this archive is accurate and complete!

I have also provided a permanent link to this post as the official archive for future reference on the left-hand column of this website for easy navigation.

A thank you to the folks managing the Saab USA Heritage Collection at this time!

Ryan it was a pleasure meeting you and your wife today at Steve Snow’s SAAB Specific. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with you on world travel, great places to visit, and of course SAAB stuff!

Your website is a very good site – I greatly enjoyed the Heritage collection reviews! I have read through half of them and have checked out many of the links you provided.

If your ever find yourself bringing your 9K back to Steve’s, drop me an email – if I’m around, it would be great to catch lunch and continue the discussions. My wife said she’d love to meet you guys (she is the reason I got into SAAB’s in the first place – so, she is the real SAABite in the family! And of course, she knew I pointed out tjat her car was dirty, etc.!).

Again, it was a pleasure.

Stacy

How come the 9-5 didn’t get pictured in the Saab USA Heritage Collection?

Kelvin,

What year 9-5, a MY 1998-2010?

I was not aware that there was one of this collection as I received the complete list from those taking care of the collection.

Can you please provide more specific details of this 9-5?
