Saab Automobile’s Prospective Buyers Reduced To Three

Saab Automobile AB has just a week to go until May 20th, the date that is planned to be the conclusion of their reconstruction process.

Today, media outlets such as Sweden’s the local, the Straits Times, and reuters are reporting that the remaining buyers are speculated to be Swedish based Koenigsegg with the Power Circle Investment group along with the Norwegian Government, China’s Geely, and an unknown German bank.

The new addition to these three possible “buyer groups” as I am calling them, would be Italy’s Fiat auto group that was not part of the prospective buyers involved in the reconstruction process.

Out of all of these prospective buyers that the media have sequentially reduced our research to, we are all quite familiar with them at this point, so here lies this new prospect, an anonymous German bank? Isn’t a German bank known as the Deutsche bank, currently working together with GM and the Saab Automobile AB reconstruction team in managing the prospective buyers? I have my serious doubts that “another German bank” is a prospective buyer, because of the arrangement the Deutsche bank has had all of this time in helping to find a buyer for Saab Automobile. I feel that the media has made a speculative mistake on this account and therefore I am proactively removing an anonymous German bank from the list, replacing it with Fiat, leaving the prospects down to three.

Unless a new name comes into the picture in the immediate future, it appears through what the media have deduced, that Saab Automobile AB’s buyer will either be the Swedish based investment group along with Koenigsegg and the Norwegian government, China’s Geely or Italy’s Fiat.

There we have it as the possible three remaining buyers for Saab Automobile with just a week remaining in reconstruction. So, who’s the best possible buyer for Saab Automobile to end up with as a future owner? Well in a short amount of time, we will be finding out and I am sure that the reconstruction team and management board at Saab Automobile are giving it their very best.
