The Autocross is on!!
We are planning the course to be a fun event. This event will be held at Copper Mountain in the Alpine Parking Lot located at the entrance to Copper Mountain Resort Friday August 14, 2009. Nick Wilson and the members of the Pikes Peak Sports Car Club (PPSCC) will be officiating this event. This will be for time and there will be trophies given for the classes at the Awards Banquet Saturday night.
We are opening this event to all vehicle to run the course, however, we are only giving out trophies to Saabs and to people who have registered for SOC09. For those who have never ran an autocross, take time to participate.
It will be a memory you will keep for a long time.
There will be classes for all abilities. Novice, advanced and unlimited. You will be asked to choose the class. Officiating Staff has the right to reclassify your class pending your abilities.
All vehicles will be ran through a short tech check to make sure lug nuts are tight, tire pressures, hoses and belts OK, and look for any other safety inspections.
There is a fee to participate. Participant drivers will be asked to share the tasks of spotting the course and to set up turned over cones, crowd control.

www.rockymtnsaabclub.com/SOC09 . Select “Attendee Register”. You can select autocross only along with any other items you want to bring from the convention. This will be passed on to the Autocross Chairman Do not forget to register for SOC09. When you register on line for you and your family members to participate in all the events offered, you can choose Autocross and pay the fee pre determined.

Having done both the Viggen and Aero Acadamies, I can understand “Advanced,” but what is “Unlimited?” Outrunning Black Suburbans, with suited men, wearing sun glasses!
