Dulles International Airport in Virginia has auctioned off their 1990 Saab 900 Turbo that had only 14,909 miles on it for $16,335 USD!

This friction tester like so many others such as Albany,NY, Burlington, Vermont has been in service for years and will hopefully be replaced with another more modern Saab 9-5 Friction tester like the one that Boston, Massachusetts has.

I hope that the lucky bidder finds themselves enjoying this fine piece of machinery with so much life left to it, because they certainly paid a pretty penny for it and it may be one of the most expensive classic 900 purchases in recent years.

    The transaction was not completed. The winning bidder/buyer backed out. Dulles shopped the car to other airports for sale. It did not go into private hands.

    I was the second-place bidder and offer terms could not be agreed upon, hence the disposition of the vehicle.
