The all new Saab 9-5 European tour that began in mid-October has apparently come to an abrupt ending.
Saab Automobile has apparently canceled the remaining two stops of Greece & Italy for the all new Saab 9-5′s European tour. The countries that did stay on track as part of this tour included the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Poland, Hungary and most recently, Austria.
To end this European tour with only two remaining destinations does not send a good message to the outside public.
* United Kingdom – Oct 14-17
* Spain+Portugal – Oct 21-22
* BeNeLux – Oct 20-25
* Poland – Oct 29
* Hungary – Nov 10-11
* Austria – Nov 18-19
* Greece – Nov 26-28 – Cancelled
* Italy – Dec 10-11 – Cancelled

Just saw the new 9-5 at the San Francisco auto show. It is much, much, much better in person then in pictures. The details are great, the fit and finish are superb! It has great presence. What a shame if this car company went away. Especially since they are poised to launch the new 9-5 and 9-4. All the work to position themselves to turn the corner. What a shame.
I want our next car to be a new 9-5 Combi!!!

Dino,
Hello. Please show us some photos from San Francisco!

I totally agree with Ryan. The new 9-5 does not look that great in white color on Saab’s website, but it looks fantastic in silver at the San Francisco International Auto Show. Both the exterior and the interior looks amazing. It comes with the HUD, a center console engine on/off button and front parking assistant. I really hope the company survives and I can take the new 9-5 for a spin.

Kin,
Thank you. Your photos from San Francisco look great! Glad you had a good time there and that you had some positive results from your first glance at the all new Saab 9-5.

I still don’t know why the European show was canceled, but at least the U.S. show circuit is continuing with another show in Los Angeles, California & Boston, Massachusetts scheduled for this week!
