TTELA Meets Up With Victor Muller Of Spyker Cars.
Shortly after 4 o’clock on Tuesday Victor Muller, CEO Spyker cars, met with Saab. At Saab, he met with Saab’s representatives and union representatives throughout the day.
- We have come due dligence (thorough business review), that is where we are in negotiations with GM, “said Victor Muller when TTELA met up with him in the Saab port on Tuesday afternoon.
He calls the party “very cooperative”. Negotiations have been intense, as Spyker-CEO, since Sunday when the new bid was added.
- It will be extreme until 31 December when GM’s deadline expires, as it looks.
Why do you want to buy Saab?
- Because it is a brand icon status. I can see a beautiful and wonderful future for Saab.
What can you say to employees?
- We at Spyker are doing everything we can, I can assure you..
Here’s a piece from the transcript below from Swedish Radio as well.
In an interview with The voice of Saab prospective buyer Spykers CEO Victor Muller and myself secretive about who or who is behind the money in this deal.
- Our business plan is fully funded. One of the sources are the European Investment Bank, but there are many other sources, “said Victor Muller.
He would not go into who or what that stands for money in this deal, more than that Spyker is a listed company and that part of the financing plan is the loan from the European Investment Bank, EIB.- The business plan shows that Saab is a brand that stands for itself “says Victor Muller. Saab has under him a great symbolic value, and must be rescued.
- If you love cars, you have to think about Saab.
Victor Muller talks about the urgency of properly in these negotiations with GM because GM’s deadline expires at year-end.
You can not sit still, it is a job for 24 hours a day.
It is difficult to say how much GM and Spyker are from each other for the past week, but Victor Muller will stay here in Sweden, perhaps even more than Christmas Eve, until this is settled, “he says.
Victor Muller in the day met with Saab’s management, but also union representatives and union IF Metall.
- We sat awhile and talked to Muller. It was a good and constructive talk. I felt in all cases safe and comfortable, “says Paul Akerlund, who is IF Metall club chairman at Saab in Trollhattan. Can you give some details, what was it about?
- It was about the things he thought were important to obtain. For example, what is important in that the government really shows that it is having on the train.
He performed any special requests to the government?
- No, nothing special more than that he meant that it is very important that the Debt Office and declaring that they see that this is okay, “says Paul Akerlund. The meeting between the unions and Spykers president lasted 35 to 40 minutes. In addition to clear information from the Debt Office, the most targeted Victor Muller, according to Paul Akerlund also some criticism against the government. It should go out more clearly and publicly show their goodwill and support, to find a solution to deal with Saab.
- He was not quite satisfactory with it, so far, “says Paul Akerlund.
How?
- He thinks that we could show a bit more that this seems good and right. But it was his opinion.
What do you think, agree with you about it?
- I’ve really only an opinion. We must do everything in our power, whether they are government, trade or business, to signal that becomes very clear that all want this to work itself out.
