I want to say, today was from what everyone that attending including the press have said, a great success. We had over 50 people attend which is phenomenal, and over 20 press members from local and national interviewing us.
Everyone that attended included folks from Cape Cod & Hingham, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, Wisconsin and as far away as Iowa! The true Saab spirit really was well represented and you could feel it.
The folks at GM were very supportive of this initiative today and despite the weather, we all hung out outside in the parking lot with the GM world headquarters as our backdrop for nearly 2 hours in the blistering cold and snowy weather to send our message.
The message we believed we were successful in sending was for GM to “Sell Saab”. We hope that the press coverage will be as positive as it can be in covering this event.
The job is not yet done as there is one last remaining aspect to the “Save Saab” campaign and that is for GM to Sell Saab.
It was clear today that they got our message, now they just need to do the right thing and complete the deal.
More to come!
The “Save Saab” initiative

Ryan and those that made the trip: Awesome work..would have been there if i could but I did write to my state and national representatives, as well as the GM Chairman..I really hope they do the right thing and let Saab fly on its own.

Saab was consistently at the bottom of quality rankings.
It’s a quirky little brand that no one will miss.
Ref. Saturn. No buyer for them and they had a great dealer network.
RIP Saab.

I found this out to late.
I would have loved to drive our 03 9-3 to the event!
THANK YOU everyone who made signs, drove there and supported our cause!
Win or loose it shows us Saab owners are a great bunch of people who cares about Saabs.

Congrats Ryan and all who attended. I was ready to go with the 1/7 date, but unfortunately couldn’t do it today. My wife and I are satisfied owners of a 9-5 and 9-3 … and with substantial mileage, we’ve never had a problem, and will be buying Saabs forever, if they are available. We’ve written letters, and will watch closely for GM’s decision.

Ryan, I was honored to be able to help you out with this effort today. It turned out as well, if not better than we could have hoped. I have gained a new “friend for life” and I look forward to (hopefully) future conversations about SAAB under new ownership plus just talking about life in general. Your hard work and knowledge made this day successful. This did not happen just because SAAB owners love their cars. YOU were the brains and glue that made this happen and all of us SAAB’O'PHYTES owe you a big big THANK YOU !!!!!
