All Interested Parties Submit Bid For Saab By Deadline

Posted on 07. Jan, 2010 by in 2010-2019

All interested parties have submitted their bids to Deutsche Bank by the deadline of 5pm EST today.

The parties that we know are as follows:

4bids

Spyker Cars – Check, Bid Submitted and confirmed!

Merbanco – Check, Bid Submitted and confirmed!

Genii Capital – Bid Officially Confirmed Through press release

Nygren-Samuelsson – Bid officially Indicated internally

There are loose rumors of other bidders, but Saab History has not yet heard anything official and will decline to speculate.

If all of these bids fail due to not having the secured EIB funding documentation, then it’s the Swedish Government to blame here.

Here’s hoping none of the bids fail and Saab Automobile has a new buyer announcement coming up soon!

    Karen & Leslie,

Thank you very much! This is getting VERY exciting indeed!

I hope our event two days ago really set a nice fire for the global Saab community, prospective buyers, GM, Saab & the Swedish Government to complete this sale!

Ryan, this is excellent news. I know there is speculation of a 4th bidder and we all got our fingers cross.

Hopefully, there will be a Saab to report in 2010, and we look forward in engaging with Saab Talk.

Ryan, you and the rally in Detroit now seem to be part of every major Saab news story, in a very respectful manner. You, and all the participants got the right kind of publicity for Saab.

    discounting WSJ blogposts…

maybe my service appointment tomorrow at Pioneer Saab will be good mojo.

I sure hope we made a differance on Tuesday, It was very special to see so many new faces, in addition to our old friends. I hope the new friends will stay in touch and join us for the 2010 Convention in Ohio, where we will have track time at Nelson Ledges.

Email the Swedish Government, who are 7 hrs ahead of Detroit time EST., which makes it more urgent.

    Thanks to Ryan

    Thanks

3 knights in shining armour!!! here’s hoping they can slay the dragon known as GM. on another note, I know the rally to save saab was a success, if (when) GM sells SAAB, should we plan another rally, this time holding up signs to THANK GM for selling SAAB? Does that make any sense to anyone?

I hope it works! Having worked for the Marketing arm of SAAB, I have a special place in my heart for the brand. I just hope the ones who can make this get off their collective butts and get it done. NO EXCUSES!
