This is by far, the smallest Save Saab gathering in the world perhaps, but very well executed, great Saabs and perfect locations!

Cheers to them for making their statement and sending their message!

The convoy started at IKEA Adelaide. It unfortunately started raining, so we went inside for breakfast. We then drove to General Motors Holden manufacturing plant at
Elizabeth. This is the plant that builds the Holden Commodore for Australia/New Zealand, the Chevrolet Lumina for the Middle East and until recently, built the Pontiac G8 for the USA.

Thanks Ryan. We were small, but we made up for it with enthusiasm!
I think Holden was asleep as no one noticed us! Thanks to Andrew H. for this photo.

D’OH! If I’d known about this, I could have increased the size of this particular SAVE SAAB convoy by at least 33%. 😛 Kudos to you 3!

    The plan

As a result of the filing for bankruptcy a bunch of Saab enthusiasts joined forces in order to give off a very strong signal, Saab may be in problems as a brand, but for us Saab is very much alive and kicking.
Remember a lot of people are in rough waters since the factory stopped producing. They need our support. Together with the people of Trollhättans Kommun the Saab Dealers and Saab specialists are the forgotten victims here.

National Saab Clubs as well as regional ones are invited to organise a meeting in their country or indeed region to show their support for Saab. It is a positive vibe we all experience, we are not protesting against what unfortunately happened.

A meeting at a location, at a dealer or indeed a specialist can be held.

Find a location where you can receive and entertain as many cars as you can muster up.
Don’t forget the dealers and specialists! If you want to start something, please don’t forget your local Saab people. Get them involved as well! And they do have coffee machines 😉

The “We are many, We are Saab” weekend will be on January 14th and 15th. You as an organiser are completely free to choose whichever date suits you the best!
