Saab owners in Chicago held their SAVE SAAB gathering today beginning at the local IKEA.

It’s looking like IKEA around the world continues to be one of the best meeting spots for Saab owners.

    I met with my Congressman, James Sensenbrenner (R) 5th District, WI., this afternoon, and he loves the idea of the taxpayers being reimbursed by the sale, instead of wasting money on a wind-down!

    I really feel good about what we have accomplished since Detroit.

    I just retuned and we had a great turnout, around 75 cars with the 9-5 dominating. interesting that half of those were Combi’s. There will be a report in Monday’s Chicago Tribune.

    We discussed about establishing a Chicago Saab Club and we can inform folks about the Saab Convention.

    Thanks to all who attended and to IKEA, who’s Swedish Meatballs are the reason for shopping there with our Combi’s!

    As Peter said, this was a great event, lots of cool Saabs and enthusiastic owners!

    I can’t vouch for the others, but my wife and I got there early for IKEA breakfast before the event, then had Swedish meatballs after the convoy & some shopping!
