As part of this week’s Saab sighting of the week, I noticed a silver Saab 9-7x at the Sunday River Ski Resort.

This makes three vehicles as part of the Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine that I have spotted since 2007. The other two vehicles include a black Saab 9-5 Sedan as and Sport Combi.

There were a number of other Saab vehicles in the parking lot that were not official vehicles of the resort, so that in and of itself was also good to see.

The Saab 9-7x history is now coming to an end or production this December, so it is about time to cover the model from the introduction to the recent plant closing.

The Strategy:

The 9-7x, Saab’s first SUV, was put into place in late 2004 as a 2005 model year due to Saab Automobile USA’s statistics of nearly 40% of their customer base who have left to go on and purchase SUVs. It was under the authority of Saab USA President, Debra-Kelly Ennis, who gave the go ahead for this vehicle to go into production in order to broaden the model portfolio and extend its reach into this growing segment.

It was Kjell-Ã…ke Eriksson, the former vehicle line director, now Saab Automobile Germany President who oversaw this project.

The Nomenclature:

The Saab 9-7X (or Saab 97X) should not be confused with the Saab 97 (Saab Sonett II and III) produced from 1966 to 1974. This was is an SUV, while the latter was a fiberglass sport coupe.

The execution:

The Saab 9-7x SUV was built on a GM platform called “GMT360″ which also was used as the GMC Trailblazer, hence the nickname it was given “TrollBlazer”. This platform was also used for the GMC Envoy, Buick Rainer, Izuzu Ascender and Oldsmobile Bravada.

The Saab 9-7x was most notable for it’s initial media references of “badge engineering” due to the obvious platform sharing and became the largest Saab ever produced, complete with the largest engine ever in a Saab, the V8 engine.

The Production:

The 9-7x was not assembled in Saab’s original factory in Trollhättan, Sweden, but in a GM truck plant in Moraine, Ohio.

The Design:

The Saab 9-7x Design. While many of the components both inside and out were obviously shared with other GM vehicles on the same platform, the distinguishing factors with the 9-7x beginning with the exterior, were the front fascia, headlamps, grill, hood, roof rack, tail lamps, rear bumper. On the interior, there was a 9-5 looking dash complete with night panel, Saab swing-out cup holder, and center mounted ignition.

The engineering:

The engineering of the 9-7x included a lower ride height of 1 inch, updated bushings and dampers, quicker steering, Additional braces between the cross members and frame, Firmer springs and shocks, Larger front anti-roll bars, Larger brakes, Specific Dunlop tires and a Limited-slip differential

The powertrain:

The Saab 9-7x Powertrain options included the following:

    * Linear or 4.2i – Features the 285 horsepower (213 kW) Atlas LL8 straight-6 engine with 12-spoke wheels.
* Arc or 5.3i – Features the 300 horsepower (224 kW) Vortec LH6 V8 engine with six-spoke wheels and adds xenon HID headlamps with high-pressure washers and adjustable pedals. The 5.3 Liter V8 engine gained Displacement on Demand in 2006.
* Aero – For 2008 a new high performance variant was added using the 390 horsepower (291 kW) 6.0L GM Small-Block LS2 also found in the Chevrolet Trailblazer SS also featuring 20 inch rims, a heavy-duty automatic transmission and Aero-embroidered leather-appointed seats and floormats. Saab claims that the 9-7X Aero can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 6 seconds.

The Features:

The features for the 9-7x included standard all-wheel drive, premium leather seats, 18-inch allow wheels and side curtain air bags. Other features included OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, a 6-CD Bose audio system with an optional sunroof or rear-seat DVD entertainment system.

The Special Editions:

There was a Saab 9-7x Aero concept car that was shown at the national SEMA conference in 2006

There was a Saab 9-7x “Altitude” edition limited to 500 made. The special options include 18″ alloy wheels, side steps, a rear DVD player and the carbon gray metallic paint.

There was also a Saab 9-7x Aero which was introduced as 2008 model year in 2007 that included a 390 horsepower 6.0 liter GM small-block LS2 engine, 20″ chrome wheels, the word “Aero” embroidered on the seat backs.

The Pricing:

The Saab 9-7x began with prices for 2005 model years at 38,990.00 for the linear and the Arc, priced at $40,990.00. The pricing for models in 2008 now commands $41,145 for the 4.2i linear, $43,515 for the Arc and $47,275 for the Aero models.

The Lifespan:

The Saab 9-7x introduced in 2004 as the MY2005 arrived at the beginning of the end of the SUV craze just as fuel prices, politics and other factors began to indicate that the idea of the vehicle was becoming too little too late for Saab & GM.

The Saab 9-7x production ends in December of 2008, when the Moraine, Ohio plant that manufactures it, will be shut down.

The Advertising:

There were a number of print advertisements that were created with the Saab 9-7x namely focused on the fact that it was unlike any other Saab ever since it was an SUV.

There were also a few television advertisements and promotional videos, here they are below from the beginning to the most recent:

2005

The Markets:

Although the Saab 9-7X was developed for the North American market, the model is sold in many countries: Bahrain, Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Netherlands, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and the United Arab Emirates.

The Successor:

The Saab 9-4x is planned as being the successor as a 2010 model year that we should see hitting production and the showrooms by the end of 2009.

As of this Monday morning, General Motors CEO, Rick Wagoner announced the closing of the Saab 9-7x plant in Moraine, Ohio will take place in December.

It should be noted that the Saab 9-7X was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model year which was Saab Automobile USA’s stop gap measure for model years, 2005 through 2009.

This news is consistent with Kjell-Ã…ke Eriksson’s transition from Saab 9-7x Vehicle Line Director to the Managing Director of Saab Automobile Germany.

It is my understanding that the Saab 9-4x that will be built in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico was to be a seamless transition as a replacement to the 9-7x within the Saab Automobile model lineup, we’ll see as that is expected to arrive in the fall of next year, ultimately leaving Saab with the same product portfolio that they have today.

Below is a snippet from the wire:

WILMINGTON, Del. – General Motors is closing four truck and SUV plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico as surging fuel prices hasten a dramatic shift to smaller vehicles.

CEO Rick Wagoner said Tuesday before the automaker’s annual meeting in Delaware the plants to be closed are in Oshawa, Ontario; Moraine, Ohio; Janesville, Wis.; and Toluca, Mexico. He also said the iconic Hummer brand may be discontinued.

As a follow-up to the posting I made back in November of 2006 on the logo history, it is about time that I compliment this information with the following on the correct capitalization and nomenclature of the models of the Saab Automobile brand. I hope this sheds some more light in our dialog about Saabs, SAABs and all of the great products that have been developed over the years.

I have provided a fairly well written piece already done on Wikipedia that I would like to articulate if I may regarding the correct capitalization and model nomenclature as a guide.

It is my hope that as a result of this posting, others will be able to better articulate their writing and speaking when referring to all of Saab’s products from 1947 until present. I also think that this posting will help to end search criteria that is typically entered in Google as follows: (SAAB 93 XWD, SAAB 92 ABS, Saab 94 Ski Rack, 2001 SAAB 95, 1999 93, etc.) If this search criteria was taken literally, as it should as google can only do just that, we would have had Cross Wheel Drive available in the late 1950′s, ABS in the late forties, and two long production runs for the SAAB Ninety Five and Ninety Three. Let’s hope that this clarifies this naming and model nomenclature once and for all.

1947-1969 (Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget)

The Company: When referring to the company in both written and oral communication where the products were produced between 1947 and 1969, it is proper to use SAAB in all capital letters to refer to these vehicles.

The Models: When referring to vehicles model nomenclature in both written and oral communication that were produced during this time, they are written and pronounced as 92 (Pronounced: Ninety Two), 92 (Pronounced: Ninety Three), 94 (Pronounced: Ninety Four), 95 (Pronounced: Ninety Five), 96 (Pronounced: Ninety Six), 97 (Pronounced: Ninety Seven)

1970-2000 (Saab-Scania)

* Note: Although the merger took place in 1990, the original products continued. (excluding NG900, 9-3 & 9-5)

The Company: When referring to the company in both written and oral communication where the products were produced between 1970 and 1990, it is proper & acceptable to refer to them as Saabs in lower case letters or Saab-Scania vehicles, also in lower case letters.

The Models: When referring to vehicles model nomenclature in both written and oral communication that were produced during this time, they are written and produced as 97 (Pronounced: Ninety Seven), 98 (Pronounced: Ninety Eight), 99 (Pronounced: Ninety Nine), 90 (Pronounced: Ninety), 900 (Pronounced: Nine Hundred), 9000 (Pronounced: Nine Thousand), 9-5 (Pronounced: Nine Five), NG900 (Pronounced: New Generation 900), 9-3 (Pronounced: Nine Three).

2001 – Present (Saab Automobile / General Motors)

The Company: When referring to the company in both written and oral communication where the products were produced between 2001 and the Present, it is proper & acceptable to refer to them as Saab in lower case letters and/or Saab Automobile / GM vehicles.

The Models: When referring to vehicles model nomenclature in both written and oral communication that were produced during this time, they are written and produced as 9-X (Pronounced: Nine X), 9-2x (Pronounced: Nine Two X), 9-3x (Pronounced: Nine Three X), 9-3 (Pronounced: Nine Three), 9-4x (Pronounced: Nine Four X), 9-5 (Pronounced: Nine Five), 9-7x (Pronounced: Nine Seven X)

I leave you with a brief summary from Saab Automobile’s entry from Wikipedia.

Saab / SAAB Correct Capitalization and Model Nomenclature:

While Saab is in fact an acronym, and, as with many other manufacturers, the word “SAAB” appears in all-capitals within the corporate emblem and in on-vehicle badging, the current correct capitalization of Saab when in print is “Saab,” and not “SAAB.”[citation needed] Other manufacturers such as Volvo, Toyota, Lexus, Acura, and Chevrolet employ the use of all-capitalized vehicle badging, but they are still considered proper names and capitalized as such when written. Likewise, Saab is treated as a proper name and not an acronym, despite its origins..”[citation needed]

Furthermore, all current Saab vehicles are badged with a large 9 and a smaller 3, 5, or 7x following the 9, such as “9³”. However, the digits are considered separate, and are spoken as, for example, “nine three,” and written as “9-3.” Nearly every Saab model ever produced has begun with the number 9 (Saab 600 being an exception), and Saab’s two models became 9-3 and 9-5 in the late 1990s, which was likely a marketing attempt at positioning the vehicles as direct competitors to the BMW 3-series and 5-series, respectively.

There is a Saab 9-7x seen in a movie trailer for “Untraceable” that was recently noticed by my supportive fiancee the other night. The movie “Untraceable” with Diane Lane, comes to theaters on January 25th.

In this film, as the trailer indicates, the onboard Onstar navigation system is “hacked” by computer hackers and ultimately renders the car useless to the driver. While Onstar has recently switched from analog to digital for all GM customers, one of the byproducts of this industry forced switch, includes more electronic security.

This sighting brings up an age-old question, are these product placements intentional by Saab Automobile and paid or sponsored by them in any way or was this simply the director’s decision for the nature of the storyboard? Remember the movie Sideways that featured the classic Saab 900 convertible that drove through the beautiful wine country of Southern California? Saab Automobile USA re-enacted this story once again as a celebration to the 20th Anniversary of the convertible with former President of Saab USA, Jay Spenchian as well as Bob Sinclair, the genius behind the Saab Convertible. This makes me think that any Saab featured in a movie is a product placement period. I could be wrong.

Take a look at “Internet Movie Cars Database” in order to see all of the Saabs that have been featured in films over the years and then decide for yourself.

If someone has some insight into this, please post your comments in this space.

I have just been notified that the assembly line at the GM Moraine, Ohio plant has been halted as of 11:30am this morning. This is a result of the UAW strike that is now causing a lack of parts due to the “just-in-time” delivery method used at most if not all plants.

I hope these two parties can reach an agreement soon that works for everyone.

Here is the official press release from the LOCAL IUE 798

I have been receiving a number of requests for information regarding the recent UAW strike with regards to the status of the Saab 9-7x production at its Moraine, Ohio manufacturing plant.

In response to these requests, I do have some positive news recently received from Jessica Peck of GM Communications for the Moraine, Ohio plant. According to Ms. Peck, the Saab 9-7x and all other vehicles that are produced at GM’s Moraine, Ohio plant, will not be affected by the recent UAW strike.

The reason behind Moraine, Ohio’s plant not being affected is due to the fact that their Union, the LOCAL 798 is separate and not a UAW plant.

This just in from the Local IUE: “As of 11:00 AM EST, Monday, September 24th, all General Motors UAW represented plant are on strike. However, all Moraine Assembly employees are expected to report to work as usual.”

This is good news for Saab and indicates, business as usual, and more 9-7xs rolling out of the factory to new homes.

Limited Edition SUV Offers Jet-Like Performance

Saab 9-7X Aero Takes Off

DETROIT — Saab takes SUV-performance to a new altitude as it announces the Aero performance version of the Saab 9-7X today. The limited edition 9-7X Aero will make its way to dealer showrooms early this autumn.

The Saab 9-7X brings unique Saab brand characteristics to the midsize SUV segment, including sophisticated styling inside and out, premium design features, and the sporty and spirited performance inherent to Saab vehicles. Since its debut two years ago, more than 12,000 have been sold in the U.S. and Canada. For 2008, Saab adds the Aero model – the symbol of serious Saab performance – to the 9-7X lineup. The limited edition 9-7X Aero takes Saab’s interpretation on the midsize SUV to an entirely new level accelerating the performance aspect of the sophisticated vehicle with a 6.0L V-8, 20-inch wheels and tires, unique paint and custom interior accouterments.

“The 9-7X Aero is one great SUV to pilot,” Shannon said. “We are excited to offer enthusiastic drivers an increased level of performance with the Aero, a symbol of Saab performance, in the midsize SUV segment.”

The new 9-7X Aero features a powerful, 6.0L small-block V-8 delivering 390 horsepower (295 kW) and 395 lb.-ft. (542 Nm) of torque. With 0-60 mph acceleration under six seconds, the 9-7X Aero is a treat for those who are actively passionate about the driving experience.

The 9-7X Aero will be easy to spot as it wears a paint color all its own: Carbon Flash Metallic. The charcoal metallic paint nicely enhances the SUV’s clean lines. Specific to the 9-7X Aero are 20-inch polished, aluminum wheels wrapped with P255/50R20 V-speed-rated performance tires that provide the optimum balance between ride and handling. Complementing the refined and driver-oriented cockpit-inspired interior are “Aero” embroidered leather seats and embossed floor mats.

Under the hood of the 9-7X Aero is the LS2 6.0L V-8 with a cold air induction package, rated at 390 horsepower (295 kW)* at 6,000 rpm and 395 lb.-ft. of torque (542 Nm)* at 4,000 rpm. The LS2 6.0L is based on the small-block V-8 architecture and delivers excellent down-low torque for strong off-the-line performance. Torque is inherent to the engine’s cam-in-block design, which features large 4.00-inch-diameter (101,6 mm) bores and a 3.62-inch (92 mm) stroke. Response is crisp and immediate, thanks to the electronically controlled throttle.

Unique to the 9-7X Aero’s version of the engine is a composite intake manifold adapted to the LS2 engine to help produce balanced torque and horsepower. Maximum towing capacity on 9-7X Aero model is 6,600 pounds (2994 kg).

Like all Saabs, the new Saab 9-7X Aero is driver-focused, with a lowered chassis tuned and tested to deliver responsive, balanced handling. Corner control and body roll control are improved with front stabilizer bars that are approximately 10 percent larger in diameter. Additional strength is provided by a heavy-duty rear axle with limited-slip differential.

With a four-wheel disc braking system enhanced with larger, 12.8-inch (325 mm) front disc rotors and iron twin-piston calipers, it’s not difficult to put a stop to things in the more powerful 9-7X Aero. The heavy-duty iron calipers are stiff and retain their shape under high-pressure/high-heat braking conditions, providing a more linear feel and reduced pedal travel in high-energy stops. The brake pads use high-performance linings for strong fade resistance.

ABS and automatic all-wheel-drive are standard on all 9-7X models as well as the StabiliTrak electronic stability control system that provides confident, sure-footed travel. The performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system delivers impressive on-road grip and enhanced “launch” feel. The always-engaged system uses a Torsen center differential to split torque between the front and rear wheels. It is a torque-bias system that detects low traction at one axle and directs more torque to the other when needed.

Like all 9-7X models, the Aero model represents a terrific value with a high-level of standard equipment. In fact, the 9-7X boasts the most standard features in its class while offering a very competitive starting price at $39,935. The limited edition 9-7X Aero will start at $45,690, which includes a $745 destination fee and will begin arriving at dealerships this fall.

Saab is a division of General Motors Corp. Saab Automobile USA is the importer and/or distributor of Saab 9-3, 9-5 and 9-7X automobiles for Saab Automobile AB, Sweden. In 2007, Saab celebrates 60 years since first being introduced to the automotive scene as the vision-turned-reality of 16 aircraft engineers. Visit www.saabusa.com for more information.

Today, the Saab 9-7x 1:43 scale model finally arrived in Obsidian black from 43r.com. The obsidian black is the color that is depicted in the Saab 9-7x promotional video as well as the “Transformer” television advertisement done by Saab USA and the company Digital Domain back in late 2005. This model took nearly 2 years to finally complete a production run since it was first promoted on their website back in November of 2005. The level of detail is quite good, so another great job done by the Norev company who have been doing a number of the “official” Saab Automobile collector models as of late. Another great addition to the scale model collection.

Saab Automobile product range: Safe, versatile, practical, unique and progressive.
IKEA product range — Modern, functional, attractive, and progressive.

- Different companies, similiar product philosophies

Here is a photo that was recently provided to me of a Saab 99 that at the time, was the choice Saab model for those trips to IKEA. I was wondering how many of you have made it to IKEA in your Saab and have found that the plat-packed design of many IKEA goods works well with the utility and practicality of the Saab Automobile.

In the discussions I have had, I have heard from people that the 9000 was the best, and I have also heard that the 900 convertible was the best because the top goes down and the sky is the limit. Is there a “best” Saab model for such an arrangement?

In an effort to get your responses, I have provided a poll below for you to choose what Saab model in your opinion, is most suited at being the “best” Saab for an IKEA trip. I look forward to your poll results.

Update: Incredible voter turnout today! I have closed the poll at 150, It looks as though the Saab 9-5 SportCombi is the winner! I will post more on this in the coming days.

Note: There is a poll embedded within this post, please visit the site to participate in this post's poll.

The annual Washington, D.C. Auto Show is in town again at the convention center downtown, and as you may have guessed, I had to show up and see the Saab display, and what some of the competition looked like.

Arriving at the Saab display, I was immediately drawn to the showcased Saab 9-3 Convertible with the “electric blue” color which is now standard for the 2007 model year. The 9-3 convertible was placed atop a translucent glass platform that was encased with a brushed aluminum frame and railing. The consistent use of choice materials such as these that are commonly found in Scandinavia, were evident throughout the display.

As I made my way around the display, I continued exploring the other Saab models in-depth by taking advantage of some of the features available in the “parked” position such as moving the seats, popping the hood, trunk, etc. I was fortunate in this visit to have arrived in the morning, which means enjoying the experience without having to wait my turn to make my way around the display while also having some clear and unobstructed photo opportunities.

The visit was was short, but pleasant. As I headed out of the hall, it was necessary to wrap up the visit with a stop over at the “other” Swedish Automobile company’s display as well. At their display, I began exploring their new concept car’s motion sensing obstruction technology which was similiar to the posting I made earlier on the subject of “Saab 9-3 SportCombi – V2V technology“. While I was in this concept car, I was began talking out loud about some of the technology with another auto show visitor shotgun to me. While we were engaged in conversation together, I was approached by a friendly Swedish Product Specialist, who kindly elaborated on the technology and other questions we had. This conversation continued from English into Swedish with me, where we began talking everything Swedish including Saab automobile (not surprising). During this conversation on Saab Automobile, I heard how excited this Swedish Company is for Saab’s most recent successes in having their “best year ever”. Hearing those words from this individual was music to my ears. At the end of our conversation together, I thanked the individual for her help and referred the crew on hand from Sweden, to visit the “House of Sweden” while they are here. The response I received from the the crew of product information specialists, was an overwhelming “Javisste” as a way of assuring me that they wouldn’t leave Washington without doing so.

I had a great time at the show, and urge you if you are in the Washington, D.C. area this weekend to not only visit the “Washington, D.C. Auto Show”, but the “Cars & Transportation” Exhibit at the House of Sweden” as well for two back-to-back events featuring the Saab Automobile!

The Washington, D.C. Auto Show runs from January 24th until January 28th.

The House of Sweden Cars & Transportation program runs until runs until March 23rd.

The Saab Palette continues to expand into new colors along with the growth of the brand.

When one thinks back to some of the colors that stood out over the rest, do you think of Monte Carlo Yellow with the 1992 900 Convertible or Odoardo Grey with the SPG or is it Watermelon Green being used as the color by default with the SAAB 92?

I have developed with the help of my peers, a series of charts representing the paint names and codes used for every Saab model that has ever existed (minus concept cars) The objective of this project is accuracy, completeness and clarity.

Finally, a comprehensive color palette listing that includes the names, codes as well as real-life examples of what these colors look like on the year and models they were used on.

It seemed appropriate to finally release this project in-lieu of being complete so that the public can get a chance to see it and hopefully contribute to the project with additions, modifications and real-life photos of their Saab for those examples of the colors in application.

Please take a look at the new Color Palette section on the right-hand column and contact us with your contribution to the list, enjoy!

It is Tuesday and that means, another Saab sighting of the week here in beautiful downtown Washington, D.C., but not before giving pause to our former President, Gerald R. Ford.

I was able to see the motorcade this morning in person within a few blocks of where I live. On this federal holiday, the streets were lined with people as far as the eye can see. With all of the people lined up waiting patiently, the traffic followed suit and within this traffic waiting unprecedently peaceful on the streets, I managed to snap a photo of a gentleman driving a beautiful Saab 9-7x. Enjoy the photos.

Saab and Salomon sports have had a mutually beneficial partnership for a number of years now. Since a number of their events are winter related, and ski season is here, I thought I would provide you some information about the events.

For more information on the Saab Salomon partnership, please visit the following website http://www.saabsalomon.com/

Below is a description of the Saab & Salomon program along with their partnership programs including some photos and videos.

WHY SAAB SALOMON
Saab and Salomon – always inventing.
We’re both adventure seekers who share a heritage of giving wild ideas wings that have become
ground-breaking innovations since 1947. Cool common ground and an identical founding year.
Coincidence?

We think not. These days, Saab and Salomon work together to create new sporting events – giving
athletes a whole new way to play and everyone else a great show.
Together, we’re giving back to those who share our values of independence, creativity and a passion
for exploration and the results have been phenomenal – our events are skyrocketing in popularity and
our athletes and teams have enjoyed successes worldwide.

http://www.salomonxwing.com/

-The Transalp X-Wing Rally, presented by Saab, Salomon, and FRWD technologies, challenges
teams of 3 to grab just one pair of skis each, jump into a Saab Sport Combi and make their way
through Solden, St. Anton am Alberg, Engadin St. Moritz, Cervina & Zermatt, Chamonix, Les 3 Vallees
and Tignes. Every day a new resort, every day a new discipline and every descent adds up to
100,000 vertical meters with FRWD technologies tracking every turn on every team’s incredible
adventure.

- The Saab Salomon Adrenaline Tour is a multimedia event on wheels that makes stops all summer
long at Europe’s premiere outdoor sports adventure events with a 16m truck that packs punch: a selfcontained
cinema and stage that lets us roll pre-recorded and live footage via a 22m screen and a
2000-watt sound system, letting everyone rock out while footage of The Adrenaline Hunters boggle
everyone’s minds with their edge of sanity, edge of mortality action. Not a party to be missed.

-The Adrenaline Hunters are a team of globe-trotting skiers, snowboarders, mountain bikers, climbers,
kayakers and base jumpers who are always on the lookout for the next heart-stopping run, wherever
they may be. Twice a year, “Ride the Planets” captures amazing summer and winter footage of these
envelope-pushing athletes for The Adrenaline Hunters DVD presented by Saab and Salomon so you
can follow the team’s adventures as they scour the planet looking for the next hit of pure adrenaline.

-The Crossmax Series is the only world tour dedicated exclusively for Skier X – those in search of big,
spectacular thrills in a futuristic mix of motocross and downhill skiing. Technical expertise, lightning
descriptions, banked turns and speed sections that all boil down to a battle against the clock.

requires expertise across a variety of sport disciplines, incredible teamwork and almost inhuman
amounts of strength and stamina. The Raid World Championship brings together the best athletes in the world for elite level competitions
where modern humanity is totally immersed in the beauty and brutality of competition in the natural
